Hello, I'm Liam

Innovation Strategist With A Background in UX

Born in Romania and raised in New Zealand, my multicultural background enriches my approach to problem-solving and creativity. I began my formal design career in User Experience Design at SCAD. During my graduate studies, I focused on rapid ethnography, strategic foresight, idea generation, and managing delivery processes for user-centered design.
Throughout my projects, how people react to the physical, technological and societal forces around them interests me most. I aim to create not only user-centered products but user-centered strategic visions and value-focused plans. I do this by balancing my focus on the present while using strategic and speculative foresight to design for the future.

My Design Focus Is Value: People, Planet, Profit, and Purpose.

Key Traits

Efficient

If there's one word people use to describe me, it's efficient. Whether I'm tackling tasks, managing projects, or competing in tennis, I strive to maximize productivity and minimize waste. My approach is focused, methodical, and results-driven, ensuring that goals are achieved with precision and effectiveness.

Adaptable

I'm adaptable by eagerly taking on challenges, using my experience in design management and UX to handle different projects and industries. I keep learning and growing, confidently adjusting to changes and showing resilience and creativity when things evolve.

Reliable

If I commit, I deliver. I learned to be reliable both in my work and through college sports playing within a team, if you commit you must deliver. I see uncertainty and changes as chances to be creative and courageously problem-solve through ambiguity.

Strategic

My strategic focus encompasses my core design values. People, Planet, Profit and Purpose. The methods and mediums to deliver these values vary on the circumstance, but my core strategic mindset is the emphasis on a quadruple bottom line.

Imaginative

I've used many different ways to express my imagination and creativity, reflecting my active imagination in painting, sport, and design. Now, I use this imagination to solve real-world business problems and user experience problems.

Organized

Through my life experience of being an artist-athlete, I meticulously plan and pay attention to detail to ensure that tasks are prioritized, resources are utilized efficiently, and objectives are met seamlessly.

The Artist-Athlete

I was the captain of the men's tennis team at SCAD for 4 years while attending the college.

Throughout my 5 years at SCAD, I was a top-line starter for my team and gained the recognition of being captain just after my first year. As a student-athlete, finding the balance between education, competing and social life was a great task as a young adult to be dealt with. What I found was that these little challenges were teaching me to be exquisitely organised throughout every day and prepared for the coming days or weeks ahead, teaching me efficiency, time management and organization.

Reach out, say hello.
